Okay. Back to my story. I ran into JoAnn's to grab glue dots to finish my invitations. I was in a total hurry, and I am not familiar with the store, so I was so glad when there was an employee standing in the first aisle I went to. The aisle that she was standing in was the aisle that contained paper and other misc. scrapbook supplies. I asked her where the glue dots were. She stared at me with this blank stare and said, "What are glue dots?" What? You don't know what glue dots are? What a moron. I didn't say this to her, but I thought it. So, I tried to describe them to her. More blank stare, with her tongue hanging out a bit. I promptly moved on and found them on my own.
This reminded me of a similar incident years ago when I went to Mac's Crafts in Sandy and asked the girl where they kept their raffia. She gave me this half-retarded, half-irritated look and said, "What is raffia?". I was just in enough of a mood that I said to her, "You mean, you work in a craft store and you don't know what raffia is ? ? ?"
